Janet Meaney Performance Artist

Performance at Oxford Street Art Space in a glass cube situated between two nightclubs in which I built a clay pod around me in an attempt to deny the audience access to to me but also reintroducing the notion of performing a skill as performance art.

Performance in which I attempted to align myself with the pavement.

Performance in Tallin Estonia in which I walked down a cobblestone street wearing wooden cloches attached to my bare feet by ropes which I pulled to move my feet much like a puppet, displaying my instability but maintaining my direction by pulling my own strings.

Performances
This is a selection of images of performances ranging from the highly orchestrated high-tech public spectacle to the visceral displays of abjection of self.
